Jordan Peele

American · b. 1979

American actor, comedian, and filmmaker born February 21, 1979 in New York City. Built his name as a sketch-comedy performer (MADtv, then Key & Peele) before writing and directing Get Out (2017), his feature directorial debut, which won him the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Us (2019) and Nope (2022) followed, extending a signature blend of social commentary and psychological horror that Get Out introduced -- a buried, literal truth about exploitation hiding underneath a deceptively familiar premise.
